Beat Chronic Disease

The Nutrition Solution

By Fleur Brown

Have you - or someone you care about - been diagnosed with a chronic disease, such as Osteoporosis, Arthritis, Cardiovascular Disease, Hashimoto's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn's Disease, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Diabetes Type 2, Multiple Sclerosis, Infertility, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or Depression?

The author of this powerful new book, Beat Chronic Disease, from Hammersmith Books, is a widely-respected, practising, functional nutritionist with a quarter of a century of experience in helping people with chronic diseases to take control of their own health. Fleur's goal is to show people it is possible to not just survive on a medication regime that only treats (some of) the symptoms, but to live a fulfilling, pain-free life. Being told you have a chronic disease that can only be ‘controlled' by taking medications and never be resolved - with the likely possibility your health may deteriorate as time goes on, can be a very distressing and debilitating diagnosis to hear. It can lead to people feeling depressed at the overwhelming thought of a life sentence of chronic illness without resolution; a life half-lived. Fleur Brown's book offers self-empowerment to those prepared to take control of their health by finding ways to discover and resolve the under-lying contributory factors that may be contributing to their ill-health.

Beat Chronic Disease: The Nutrition Solution contains:

Questionnaires, Real-Life Case Studies, Practical Advice, Actionable Tips, Invaluable Advice, Elimination Diet Plan, Lifelong Eating Plan, suit your personal journey to beating chronic disease using functional nutrition

‘Beat Chronic Disease'is built around a revolutionary form of Nutritional Therapy known as Functional Nutrition. Fleur wants to get a direct message to people with chronic illness that theycantake control of their own healthand there are steps they can take independently - using this book as a guide - to live a fulfilling and healthful life again.

The unique, real-life case studies of Fleur's clients - Jane, Robert, Moira and Karen - adds an insightful and original perspective to explain how functional nutrition can really work. They were diagnosed with chronic, debilitating health conditions but are now living a vastly improved life that is free from pain after consulting with Fleur. This new book comes at a time when the concept and practice of Functional Medicine is flourishing in popularity in the United States and now starting to make its mark in the UK. Fleur's approach is supported by clinical research and relies on clinical testing and analysis, prior to devising nutritional programmes for clients. These programmes include nutritional changes with modified diets, relevant supplements and lifestyle changes.

Fleur Brown explains:"Since I started my clinic 25 years ago, I have seen many clients who have come to me as ‘a last resort' having had no resolution to their health problems. Many are on a cocktail of serious drugs and often suffering from the side effects. This book is aimed at people who feel they are not in control of their health, and want to be empowered by learning how to get better:

•People with chronic illness, who see their health deteriorating month by month with no hope of getting better again.

•People with long-term illnesses whose symptoms are simply being managed by drugs often with more and more drugs being added (poly-pharmacy) without any way to recover their good health again.

•People on long-term medication who would like to find a solution to their health problems through a drug-free approach."

"This book is so much more than a ‘last resort' holds the key to recovering your health and getting your life back."
