Yorkshire Wolds poultry business appoints new factory manager

 

 

A prominent East Yorkshire poultry business has recruited a new factory manager as the firm celebrates its 70thanniversary year.

 

Paul Tyson joins T.Soanes & Son with more than 22 years' experience in the poultry industry and is based at the Middleton-on-the-Wolds, Driffield factory.

 

Prior to this role, he was the factory manager at a food group based in Scunthorpe, having worked his way up the business from production operative to management.

 

In his new role, he oversees the complete production process and supports his fellow department heads.

 

Two months into the role, Mr Tyson said that settling into the position has been made easier by the support he has received from colleagues.

 

"I was excited to join T.Soanes & So as it has a great reputation as a dedicated family business that cares deeply about what it does, which makes it a pleasure to work here.

 

He added: "The focus here is onquality and customer satisfaction first and foremost before numbers and volume, and the passion for animal welfare, quality and doing things right for the consumer is evident across everything we do."

Family owned T.Soanes & Son rears more than five million chickens per annum on its Yorkshire farms and supplies butchers, farm shops and independent retailers and wholesalers throughout the UK. It celebrated its 70thanniversary with a party for staff on 15thJuly.
