NORTH DEVON SET FOR A BUMPER TOURISM SEASON
North Devon tourism is set to benefit from some brilliant new marketing being co-ordinated by North Devon’s BlueFrog Media. A new video of North Devon has been seen by almost a million people on Facebook alone in the past few weeks as the new North Devon Marketing team start gearing up their promotions for the 2017 season.
Panoptic Motion, BlueFrog Media and the North Devon Marketing Bureau (NDMB) have teamed up to put North Devon and Exmoor on the map as a top tourism destination in the UK ahead of what is set to be one of the region's busiest summers yet.
Barnstaple based video production company, Panoptic Motion, created a two minute short film showcasing the beauty of North Devon, which is close to reaching a million views on Facebook since its launch. This video is part of a wider campaign of short videos to support the #LoveNorthDevon marketing across social media.
The short film captures the stunning locations found in the county including: Appledore, Braunton Burrows, Clovelly, Croyde, Ilfracombe, Instow, Lynmouth, Putsborough, Saunton, Valley of the Rocks, Westward Ho! and Woolacombe.
BlueFrog Media and the NDMB are pleased to announce that there are four additional videos to compliment the original short film; two of which are promoting walking routes, one to showcase the beaches and the final video to show the array of food facilities in the area.
Rick Turner, head of Marketing and Communications at the NDMB has said: “The support gained from the video has been phenomenal and given the #LoveNorthDevon campaign a wonderful boost in promoting North Devon as one of the top destinations to visit.
“We couldn’t have done it without the help of Panoptic Motion and BlueFrog Media - their support and passion has paid off incredibly and we’re all looking forward to what the future videos have in store for the promotion of North Devon and Exmoor”
Carl Metcalfe, director and filmmaker at Panoptic Motion said: “We have shot five films and are finishing filming the first batch in the next couple of weeks.
“We do a lot of commercial work such as promotional videos for hotels, but it’s good to be able to do something to help boost the area.
“I’ve grown up here but I think people still take for granted how special this area is; many people who live here don’t know what’s on their doorsteps.”
Rich Evans, operations director at BlueFrog Media added: “North Devon is a beautiful location, and the Panoptic Motion team have done an amazing job to showcase its raw beauty!
“The video has been viewed by just under 800,000 people and was shared almost 4,500 times (and counting). The past few months has seen the number of Facebook followers more than double and is quickly becoming the most successful social media marketing from Devon.
”The NDMB exists to promote North Devon as a tourism attraction to the UK and internationally. The success of this campaign, even at this early stage, works to achieve this aim.”
If you have not already viewed this fantastic video go to the North Devon Facebook and enjoy an aerial tour of many of magical places so many tourists come to North Devon to experience.
