Mortgage Advice Bureau Swindon recruits again as business grows by 20%

Mortgage Advice Bureau Swindon has recruited again as an increase in home buying fuels business growth for the mortgage advice expert.

Clive Parkinson has joined the company, taking its team of mortgage advisers to five and three full time mortgage assistants.

Clive brings 35 years of experience to Mortgage Advice Bureau Swindon, much of which is in the financial services sector.

Most recently, as investor and consultant, Clive has helped Swindon based company, Recycling Technologies, to commercialise technology that converts mixed plastic waste into oil. Previously as Director of Business Support at Forward Swindon he led Swindon Council's engagement with local businesses. He also conducted a financial services sector strategic research project. At the conclusion of the project, Clive delivered a strategy paper to Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership for increasing the number of financial services companies in the Swindon and Wiltshire area.

During a thirty year career at Nationwide Group, he held senior roles in the company’s legal and retail teams before becoming managing director at Nationwide Life and Nationwide Unit Trust Managers.

Mortgage Advice Bureau increased its like-for-like revenues by 20 per cent in the first two months of 2017, with home purchases accounting for 62 per cent of this growth.
