Pure Boilers service plan tackles four-day waiting time for emergency boiler rep
Pure Boilers service plan tackles four-day waiting time for emergency boiler repair

With the cold snap continuing, people are waiting four days for boiler repair appointments.

Pure Boilers, the Swindon-based supplier, installer and boiler service and cover provider, is offering a boiler service plan from just £5 per month. The plan guarantees to provide an engineer within 24 hours in an emergency.

According to insurance provider, Direct Line, February is the worst month by far for boiler breakdowns, with repair claims 163 per cent higher than the monthly average.

Underlining the seriousness of this statistic, Pure Boilers recently responded to an urgent call out at a Swindon home. On their arrival, engineers discovered a highly dangerous, yet avoidable, fault.

“The boiler had burnt through its heat exchanger and was extremely dangerous,” said Dominic Eves, owner of Pure Boilers. “Some insulation board had fallen away, leaving metal casing exposed to flames. This should’ve been seen and rectified during a routine boiler service, but clearly wasn’t. We made the boiler safe and arranged to fit a replacement.”

Customers with a Pure Boilers service plan reduce the risk of an emergency call out significantly, as many faults can be detected in the warmer months and put right before winter. And, if they do need an urgent appointment, a Pure Boilers engineer will be with them within 24 hours.

Customers with a boiler fitted by Pure Boilers can sign up to a service plan straightaway, from just £5 a month. Customers with a boiler fitted by other providers can pay the same monthly instalment following a boiler service priced at £50 (normally £65).

Pure Boilers’ service plans are available to landlords as well as private residents.

Anyone can experience the horrors of a boiler breakdown. One cold morning in January, Her Majesty’s foot guards based at Wellington Barracks, just 300 metres from Buckingham Palace, awoke to the news that their boiler had broken down, leaving them showering in ice cold water. The malfunction also left the central heating inoperable and led to the shutdown of two of the barrack’s three kitchens. Troops were told it could take five weeks to fix the problem.

Customers of Pure Boilers speak highly of the business, praising it for reliability, the quality of its work and transparent pricing. One customer, appearing on Pure Boilers’ website said: “They were very thorough, very tidy, very punctual and gave the impression of being very trustworthy, which proved to be the case.
