Yorkshire Wolds Brewery and events business full of cheer for charity

Wold Top Brewery and sister company Muddy Souls Events are supporting Kidney Research UK as their chosen charity for 2017.

The charity is the national leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to research into better treatments and a cure for kidney disease.

Both businesses, based at Hunmanby Grange near Wold Newton/Hunmanby, will fundraise throughout the year for Kidney Research UK by hosting and participating in events.

Muddy Souls events manager Anne Duerden said: "We are delighted to support such an incredible charity, and one that is very close to our hearts.

"The work of Kidney Research UK helps a great number of families and touches many lives, and our customers and staff always do a wonderful job of collecting funds for worthy causes."

Last year alone, Wold Top Brewery and Muddy Souls Events donated over £3,000 for the local branch of the Multiple Sclerocis Society at Bridlington having supported the charity for several years.

"We'd like to thank everyone who helps us raise these funds in any shape or form as we couldn't do this without them. It gives us a great deal of pleasure to be able to support charities whether they are local or national and we look forward to bringing you updates on our achievements later in the year."

Muddy Souls Events have confirmed that their annual wedding open evening will take place on Monday June 5 from 6pm to 8pm. As one of the main charity events of the year, the firm will ask exhibitors for a charity donation instead of a fee.

The firms will raise further funds at the Scarborough Dragon Boat Race, which takes place in June.

Kidney Research UK also works to raise public awareness of the disease to help save lives.
