High-end Aston Knowles to sell historic £4million mansion near Tamworth

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

High-end Sutton Coldfield estate agency, Aston Knowles, has recently been instructed to place historic £4million mansion, Haselour Hall near Tamworth, on the market.

Haselour hall is steeped in history, dating back to the sixteenth century, and has been described as ‘perhaps the most charming half-timbered house in the county'. The land that the historic hall now sits on is thought to have provided accommodation to Henry VII during the night before The Battle of Bosworth Field; the last significant battle in the War of the Roses.

Encompassing over 19,000 square foot, the hall boasts extensive living, sleeping and working accommodation complemented throughout by magnificent original features dating back to c1550.

Sophie Bullock, Director at Aston Knowles, said, "We're delighted to have been chosen as the agency to market Haselour Hall. The beautiful five gabled, Elizabethan mansion is truly a one-of-a-kind and is much loved by local residents. It has stunning original features including: an oak panelled reception hall and dining room, a fabulous Norman oak front door, stained glass leaded windows and magnificent oak fire surrounds depicting scenes from the battle of Hastings. The hall is exquisitely grand, and has been extremely well maintained by the current owners".

The £4million price tag includes more than just Haselour Hall itself - the lucky new owner will also enjoy the benefit of: a detached annexe, a chapel that is still in use today, a barn, four stables with a tack room, hay store, 11 garages, a summer house as well as an outdoor pool, all set in just over 10 acres of land.

Those who have an entrepreneurial mind, and subject to permission, would see the popular Haselour Hall as an opportunity to create a ‘live-in' wedding venue; there's certainly enough space for it.

Haselour Hall, Manor and Chapel is located in Haselour Lane, just outside the village of Harlaston, approximately 5km north of Tamworth in Staffordshire. Tamworth is ideally located for the A5, the M42 and M6, with great road links to the north and London. Tamworth itself benefits from a large shopping centre and nearby Sutton Coldfield is also well well-appointed with a range of amenities including, shops, restaurants and excellent schools.
