Aubrey Logan: ‘LA’s Queen of Sass, Jazz, and heartbreak’, back by popular demand

Aubrey Logan: ‘LA'sQueen of Sass, Jazz, and heartbreak',

back by popular demand at London's 606 Club

From the moment that Simon Cowell booted her out of the 2009 season of American Idol for being ‘too jazzy',Aubrey Loganhasn't looked back.

In the same year she went on to win the Audience's Choice and Jury's First Place Award at the Montreux Jazz Festival Voice Competition andif that weren't enough to convince Mr. Nasty that just maybe he'd got it wrong,Aubrey has since been in great demandworking with artists such as Quincy Jones, Burt Bacharach, Josh Groban, Linda Ronstadt, Smokey Robinson and Pharrell Williams.

But while jazz is at the core of her prodigious talent, it's not the only good thing she's got going for her.Aubrey breaks all the traditional genre barriers by combining her soaring, sassy jazz vocals with R&B, neo-soul, pop and more than a touch of rock.Oh, and not only that but this graduate of the famous Berklee School of Music is also a phenomenal trombone player...

Having played two sell-out gigs at the intimate but oh, so cool 606 Club in Chelsea, it was always going to be a no brainer that Aubrey would be invited back from her home in L.A before too long. Her vocal skills alone - ranging from deep and electric to delicate and vulnerable - ensure that every performance she gives leaves the audience on their feet yelling for more. And it's not just the jazz aficionados at the 606 Club who can't wait to see her perform again; Aubreyis regularly chosen to sing the Stars and Stripes for crowds numbering in their thousands at major US sporting events.

If her fan base is growing day by day so too is her reputation amongst her peers. Aubrey has spent the summer guesting with Scott Bradlee's famed music collective, Postmodern Jukebox. "Aubrey is a phenomenal young singer/songwriter trombonist" says Scott, "that - like us - truly puts her own unique spin on music."
