tremco illbruck Group Acquires Adhere

Sealing Specialist Expands its Position Further
Cologne, November 2016. - tremco illbruck Groupannounces the acquisition of the English adhesive foam tape manufacturer Adhere Industrial Tapes Ltd.With its product range of customised single or double-sided adhesive foam tapes, Adhere will provide the perfect addition to tremco illbruck's portfolio and resultantly, strengthen tremco illbruck's position in Europe.

Based in Colchester (UK), Adhere was established in 1987 and manufactures a wide variety of adhesive foam tapes used in both construction and industrial applications. The product range is not only broad but is also distinguished by the fact that almost all tapes can be produced within the company itself and therefore in line with individual customer requirements.

"Adhere's corporate philosophy means that its addition has many benefits for us and signifies a further important milestone in achieving our vision for 2020", Reiner Eisenhut, CEO and Managing Director of the tremco illbruck Group, explained. "We can now capitalise on unique synergies, both in non-impregnated tapes and structural glazing businesses, thus more efficiently tapping the potential of our shared construction and industrial sectors."

After integration, Adhere Industrial Tapes Ltd will become part of the tremco illbruck Group's North Europe Business Unit under the leadership of Richard Hill. Alan Shepherd, the company founder and MD, will stay with the business and be active throughout the integration process.

Richard Hill, Managing Director of the North Europe Business Unit, emphasises: "Former customers of Adhere will greatly benefit from the integration of the company into the tremco illbruck Group. The tried-and-tested tapes that they are familiar with will still be available, and will be complimented by relevant products from tremco illbruck's product range. Viewed from another angle, tremcoillbruck's European customers will now also be able to benefit from Adhere's expertise."
