BSI PAS128 animated guide from Subscan allows civil engineers to #PasItOn

Designed for project owners, designers and civil engineers, Subscan is encouraging viewers to click, watch and #PasItOn in order to get those working with underground utilities to understand the fundamental elements of the BSI specification.

 The animation summarizes the BSI PAS128 Specification for underground utility detection, verification and location in two minutes. John Robinson, managing director of Subscan Technology explains: "We appreciate that our industry has very little time to read an entire BSI PAS specification document, or trawl through a website to obtain the basic details on PAS128. The animated video will spread the word as efficiently as possible, in the most engaging way and will be a useful resource for those working with underground utilities."

 BSI PAS128 is a robust methodology for underground detection and mapping practitioners. The document breaks the entire process down into four Survey Types, which vary in accuracy and detail. Clients can specify any PAS128 Survey Type from a qualified practitioner, receiving the final information in CAD, 2D, 3D or BIM.

Subscan Technology was one of the first utility detection and mapping firms to implement PAS128. John Robinson was part of the drafting committee along with three other industry leaders. Having launched in July 2014, PAS128 is drastically improving the standards throughout industry.
