DPF Clean Team keeping Britain trucking with rapid service

A new 24 hour turnaround servicefor HGV vehicles is helping Britain's economy by keeping the haulage industry on the move.

With latest statistics from the Department for Transport (DfT) revealing that the contribution road haulage makes plays a pivotal role to the UK economy, DPF Clean Team is advising haulage businesses not to risk vehicle downtime by neglecting regular maintenance checks, especially when it comes to their Diesel Articulate Filters (DPF). When cost efficiencies and productivity are a key focus for haulage businesses, DPF Clean Team's latest DPF cleaning service means that vehicles can expect to be back on the road in as little as a day.

Latest figures from the RAC has reported that the cost to businesses taking a single HGV off the road due to a maintenance issue is costing businesses an average of £7,000 per year, which can have a significant impact upon the wider economy. DfT has reported activity within the haulage sector has risen by 12% over the last 12 months alone, with HGVs now travelling an average of 152 billion tonne kilometres. Across the food sector alone, more than 80 percent of the food we consume in the UK is delivered by HGV, contributing around £22.9 billion to the economy each year.

DPF Clean Team's unique cleaning method utilises special heating technology which heats a unit at optimum temperature for a specified amount of time, clearing any blockages and bringing the filter back to nearly new condition, with a 96% successful clean rate. DPF Clean Team newest cleaning method follows an investment in new state of the art cleaning equipment, which means a DPF clean can be completed and a vehicle back on the road in as little as a day, far quicker than previous methods and significantly more cost effective than ordering a replacement part.

Cameron Bryce, Director of DPF Clean Team, commented:"Before the introduction of our new detection method, customers would have had to book a diagnostic test, which involved units being opened up and then welded back together, in order to identify cracked or broken filters. DPF Clean Team's new detection method means the company can identify issues without taking a filter apart getting haulage vehicles back on the road in as little as 24 hours."

Cameron continued:"Businesses need to be aware that, just as they would with any other part of their vehicles, DPF units need regular servicing and maintenance to ensure they are kept at their optimum condition. Without regular servicing, the potential for needing to have filters replaced increases, with DPFs becoming blocked beyond repair.

On the rare occasion that diesel particular filters cannot be cleaned, DPF Clean Team provide an exchange service, meaning businesses can choose to have a brand new or pre-owned DPFfrom stock, with the company providing a nationwide delivery and collection service.
