Mitcham's celebrity hotspot helps to raise thousands for Shahid Afridi Foundation Charity

Pakistan's cricketing superstar, Shahid Afridi, hosted his annual ‘invite only' charity event at Mitcham's celebrity hotspot, Chak 89, on the 13th of August this year and raised thousands of pounds to help build a better life for the people of Pakistan.

The not-for-profit ‘Shahid Afridi Foundation' was founded in March 2014 and aims to improve the lives of children, teenagers and adults in Pakistan by building hospitals, schools and more. The foundation has played a vital part in the frequent floods, earthquakes and the monsoon season disasters to control loss of lives in rural areas. Shahid Afridi also joined hands with Dar-ul- Sukun to give his support to abandoned, orphaned, and disabled children in the region. Through his charity foundation's good deeds, Afridi intends to give back to his country and followers for the love and support they've shown him throughout his cricketing career.
