4 CONTESTANTS QUIT DUE TO MIDGES

 The reality of life in television's Eden has already proved unbearable for 4 of C4's contestants - the reason? "Because they can't handle the relentless midges."

 This modern day Garden of Eden has been set up on a remote Highland peninsula on the west coast of Scotland, with 23 contestants experimenting with setting up their own brave new world. But within weeks, four members of this community (their identities undisclosed) have left and one of the main reasons given has been the midges. One of the neighbouring residents is quoted as saying, "As for the midges, they're the worst I've known in 20 years."
