Going the extra mile for Milton Keynes' memory services

AN NHS administrator who works in CNWL's Specialist Memory Service in Milton Keynes has received a prestigious award.

Debra Byrne, who works out of Cripps Lodge in Broadlands, received a Hidden Gems - Employee of the Month Award from Pete Raimes, Service Director for Milton Keynes Mental Health Services for having gone the extra mile.

Debra, who has worked for the NHS since 1994, said: "It was embarrassing but lovely to receive this award. I've never won anything like this before but I honestly feel I'm just doing my job.

"I want to thank the team for this team because we are close knit and it's lovely to work with these people. I truly enjoy coming into work with them. I see this as recognition for them. I'm only as good as the team."

Team manager Ann Saunders said: "Debra is one of the most passionate and hard-working people I've ever worked with and I thoroughly endorse the award. The team wouldn't function without her."
