Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival, the Capital FM Cardiff Bay Beach and Cardiff Harbour Festival are the major attractions featured in this year's campaign - "#CardiffIs Summer."
The 18thInternational Food and Drink Festival returns to Cardiff Bay for the weekend on the 14thof July. Visitors can explore the stalls at the Producers' Fayre; tantalise their taste buds at the Street Food Piazza and buy a variety of food and drink, including artisan breads, organic cheeses and homemade liqueurs at the Farmers' Market.
Get your buckets and spades ready because the Capital FM Cardiff Bay Beach on Roald Dahl Plass is open throughout the school summer holidays and features a large sandy beach, water play area and a variety of popular funfair rides and games for all the family. Capital FM Cardiff Bay Beach runs from 28 July until 3 September and is managed by Sayers Amusements Ltd.
The culmination of this year's "#CardiffIs Summer" campaign is the Cardiff Harbour Festival which hosts the Extreme Sailing Series. Sharing the Series with seven other cities, such as Muscat and San Diego, Cardiff will play host to elite level sailing crews, including the British team, Land Rover BAR Academy, mentored by senior members of Sir Ben Ainslie's America's Cup team. A host of fun nautical activities will also be available for the entire family to enjoy. The festival is on over the August Bank Holiday weekend - August 25 until August 28.
Cardiff Council's Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure, Cllr Peter Bradbury said: "I am sure everybody will agree that we've got a cracking summer lined up here in Cardiff. I encourage people to tell all their friends and wider family about the fun activities available this summer either by word of mouth or on social media. Help us to get #Cardiff Is trending on both Twitter and Facebook. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere wish that everybody has a wonderful summer."
