Leading UK public relations firm redheadPR are delighted
to named sponsor for The Victory Swim 2018.
The event will take place on Thursday 6
September 2018, and will raise money for The Felix Fund - which supports the
UK's bomb disposal experts and the wider EOD (explosive ordnance disposal)
community and their families.
The PR firm, which, this month,
celebrates 15 years in business, has developed a name for itself in
representing businesses from start-ups to blue chips. They also work with
individuals and products.
Its founder and managing director, Sara
Tye, is known not only for her public relations work, but for her motivational
speaking and mentoring, as well as her chairmanship of the Swindon Triathlon
Club. Sara was CEO of luxury cycling events company, Etape Suisse. redheadPR
also work with Runultra, the home of Ultra Runners. The firm's sponsorship and involvement with this
inspiring and worthwhile event is fitting:
"On a personal level, I love being
involved in sporting events - and the upcoming Victory Swim is a brilliant
example of how sport can inspire people, and change lives. In terms of
redheadPR, we love to give back to the community and sponsor events and initiatives
that we think are particularly worthwhile."
The Victory Swim will offer something
for everyone and will take place on Thursday 6 September 2018 at Waterland
Outdoor Pursuits, Lake 32 Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester,
Gloucestershire.
Entrants will have the opportunity to
swim 400m, 700m, 1500m or more, and there will be camping, a BBQ and
refreshments.
The Victory Swim will take place again
in 2019 with a challenge to remember. Swimmers at a more advanced level will
have a chance to swim the English channel, either in a relay or solo. The Royal
Navy will provide support boats for this event. The event will take part in
September 2019 and will be weather dependent.
Entry costs are £20 for the 2018 event,
and just £500 for the 2019 swim. Applicants in both instances will raise money
and awareness for EOD troops who undertake dangerous and selfless work across
the globe.
Sara, who has a longstanding history of
working with charities and not-for-profit organisations, hopes their
sponsorship will set an example for other companies, both in the West Country
and throughout the UK, to work with The Victory Swim and to spread the word of
its goals and achievements.
Sara notes that, "when it comes to
charity PR and sponsorship, every little helps. Every little push that a
charity campaign gets brings it more and more attention, and helps it to
achieve what it sets out for."
