Rapeseed oil producer marks 10 years in business with 10 competitions

 

A Thixendale based rapeseed oil producer is celebrating its tenth anniversary by launching the fifth of 10 competitions that celebrate fellow Yorkshire businesses.

 

To help the artisan oil producer to celebrate its special anniversary, the team behind The Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School and Highfield Farm B&B is offering an overnight stay and a Yorkshire breakfast for two at its luxurious Highfield Farm accommodation in Southburn, near Driffield.

 

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil's marketing manager, Jennie Palmer said that they are delighted to mark their anniversary year with a prize for a Bed and Breakfast experience at Highfield Farm.

 

"We're very grateful to fellow Yorkshire family business Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School & Highfield Farm for donating this generous prize and look forward to announcing the winner."

 

Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School and Highfield Farm's Business Development Manager,Alison Johnson said: "We're pleased to be able to support Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil by offering a prize."

 

"We use the oil in the cookery school, along with other local products like Wold Top Brewery beer and we always like to support fellow family businesses where possible."

Highfield Farm is situated four miles from the market town of Driffield and nine miles from historic Beverley and provides luxury, award winning accommodation for tourists and business guests. Converted from a former pig unit, Highfield Farm boasts nine luxury B&B rooms, meeting facilities and the award winning Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School. 

The Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School offers a range of courses including bespoke cookery days, Cook and Dine experiences and Michelin star cooking and also offers a private catering facility.

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil was established in 2008 by Adam and Jennie Palmer on their farm in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. They now produce a range ofoils, dressings and mayonnaisebased on their award-winning rapeseed oil that is produced exclusively from home. Their Yorkshire Wolds grown rapeis pressed, blended, bottled and labelled on the family farm.
