TECH GRANTS FOR CHARITIES

UK registered charities in England and Wales can now apply for a grant to fund "an amazing web presence".

Grants of up to £18,000 are available to help charities meet their digital needs from the Transform Foundation, itself a registered charity.

The Grant is aimed at small to medium-sized charities and other not for profit organisations with a social mission. It is most suitable for charities with an income between £500,000 and £20m. There will also be a programme for smaller charities in due course.

The technology partner for the grant is Raising IT, who would design and build the website on the Raising IT platform.

Each £18,000 grant covers strategy, design and development of a website with 100% of the upfront costs covered. As part of the funding, the charity will receive two workshop days with Raising IT to define the website strategy and organisation needs. After this the Raising IT designers and developers work with the charity in bringing the website to life and measuring its ongoing online impact. The applying charity will only need to fund ongoing costs.

Ewan McClymont, Grant Services Director at Bishop Fleming, a top 20 charity audit firm, commented, "This grant presents a fantastic opportunity for qualifying charities to completely overhaul their websites to give their fundraising and marketing a welcome boost and maximise their digital marketing approach."

Applications can be made online viawww.transformfoundation.org.ukand you should normally hear whether your organisation has been successful within 14 days.
