Empatika and Helen Sanderson join forces

Empatika, the specialist designer and maker of sustainable contemporary furniture, has joined forces with interior designer, life coach and Ministry of Calm founder, Helen Sanderson.

Helen and Empatika founder Tristan Titeux will work together to create inspiring and sustainable interior spaces for clients who believe ethics, style and spiritual harmony should work hand in hand.

Helen’s interior design company, Ministry of Calm, specialises in creating inner calm through harmony and order in the home or workplace. Clients include Guardian News and Media, the NHS, 38 Degrees, Marie Curie Hospice and University of Gloucestershire as well as many private individuals.

Helen was on the ‘Ask the Expert’ panel at the Ideal Home Showand a speaker at Grand Designs Live in 2014. She has featured in Financial Times House & Home, People Management, FX design magazine and is a regular blogger for the Huffington Post.

Helen is also a professional organiser with extensive training in psychotherapy, and offers premium and bespoke decluttering services.Helen encourages physical organisation in clients’ homes to support emotional, wellbeing and spiritual order. Expert at working with people’s individual mindsets and situations, she helps clients let burdensome things go while retaining precious memories.

Speaking about the collaboration, Tristan Titeux said: “Helen and I share the same values and our skills and goals complement one another’s perfectly. Together, we can create interior spaces that incorporate form, function, ethics and sustainability and promote harmony and inner calm. I’m really looking forward to working with Helen.”

Tristan founded Empatika in 2003; the company uses 100 per cent renewable materials to create stylish, purpose-built furniture. The company designs and constructs timeless pieces such as fitted cupboards and cabinets tailored to every client’s needs.

Empatika is a member of the Organisation for Responsible Business (ORB). This demonstrates the company’s responsible approach to the environment and high levels of customer service. Empatika plants a tree for every customer.

Empatika has joined the WWF Forest Campaign to encourage the use of sustainable and legally sourced wood. Along with B&Q, Homebase, Sky and Tesco, Empatika is among 30 companies behind the campaign.

Tristan is the author and publisher of “Furniture for the Future: How what you buy can change the world”. The insightful and fascinating book is an exploration into Tristan’s opinions on furniture, sustainability, healthy living and everything in-between.

Concerned by the waste produced by modern furniture manufacturing methods, Tristan created the Milo family of tables from waste offcuts. From here, he went on to produce pioneering examples of fitted furniture from the most eco-friendly materials, designs and ideas possible.
