SP350 Fix and Seal High Tack adhesive from illbruck

SP350 Fix and Seal High Tack adhesive from illbruck, developed to save time, money and mess, is being hailed as the next generation of one-step, initial grab, super-strong adhesives. There is no need for mechanical fixings, underpinning or mixers; the user simply applies the adhesive, positions the item to be fixed and, five seconds later, all is secure.  It can be painted over too!

The remarkable adhesive is supplied in 310 ml cartridges (not the usual 290 ml) for application using a standard skeleton gun and is the new complete solution for interior & exterior work. Examples include shopfitting, and the installation of panel products, ceiling roses, skirtings, covings and other components where instant grab and rapid gain of strength are essential.

David Black from illbruck explains, "We have taken the best qualities of a range of adhesives and, using illbruck's unique formulating technology, put all of these into one product to make it the best in class.

With a formula based on advanced hybrid polymers, the one-component adhesive is ready to use and easy to apply and, while it is non-sagging, it remains fully elastic.  SP350 Fix & Seal High Tack offers excellent adhesion to most common building substrates including masonry, plaster and timberwork, though it may be necessary to roughen some non-porous surfaces.

It can be applied under working temperatures of between 5 and 40 degrees centigrade, then in service it will tolerate extremes from -40 to +90 degrees centigrade.  The adhesive film will cure to a depth of 3.5 mm within the first day while it can withstand elongation of up to 470%.

For large bond areas, such as when fixing panel products, the adhesive should be applied in parallel beads approximately 100mm apart.  It is recommended that the work area is properly ventilated although the adhesive is solvent-free and chemically neutral. The cured joint remains resistant to sunlight, weathering and ageing.
