Press release: Delancey Press Hosts Champagne Reception For 'A Fickle Wind'

Delancey Press Hosts Champagne Reception To Celebrate The Launch of ‘A Fickle Wind' By Elizabeth Bourne

--TV and film producers and directors from both sides of the Atlantic join the founder of The People's Book Prize to toast debut author Elizabeth Bourne—

London, United Kingdom, April 23 2015: UK publisher Delancey Press welcomed 50 guests to the Royal Thames Yacht Club in Knightsbridge last night (April 22, 2015) to celebrate the release ofA Fickle Wind. The debut novel by Elizabeth Bourne was selected from a range of high caliber submissions in 2014. It stood out due to Elizabeth's original, nostalgic writing style and engaging plot line, but perhaps more importantly, its potential for translation from page to screen.

It was no surprise, then, to see so many television and film producers, directors and actors attend the Champagne Reception on a glorious sunny evening in Knightsbridge.

Tatiana Von Saxe Wilson, director of Delancey Press (and founder of The People's Book Prize), said: "Like all publishers, the investment in the production of a book by a debut author must be solid and offer strong potential for return. The story must not only provide commercial value but also public appeal - readers need to be engaged with the book enough that they will spread the word to their friends - the best form of advertisement there is in the book industry. Delancey Press is no different in its approach to other mainstream publishers, but it does happily invest and support debut authors, as well as seasoned writers. We will continue to publish books by talented emerging and current authors, and work to build a strong relationship with them to provide quality books, across genres, for fans of quality literature".

Elizabeth Bourne read an extract from her new novel,A Fickle Wind, and shared her hopes and aspirations for the book, which is due for official release on June 1 2015.

Elizabeth Bourne moved from England as a young woman and now divides her time between California and Canada. Travel is still an important priority but she also enjoys participating in family life with her two daughters and her grandchildren. The seed to write was planted many years ago but it was not until recently, when Bourne had the uninterrupted time to devote to it, that she decided to fulfill her long-time ambition to be a writer. This is her debut novel.
