Over 50% of keen gardeners under 35 drive the design and launch of Stewart Garden's new Contemporary Water Can Stand

Over 50% of keen gardeners under 35 drive the design and launch of Stewart Garden's new Contemporary Water Can Stand

Stewart Garden, the gardening products division of UK manufacturer, Stewart, has developed a new merchandising solution to display its Contemporary Water Can range.

The Contemporary Water Can Stand is designed to hold up to a total of 30 funky coloured, Contemporary Water Cans, in 3 sizes for indoor/outdoor use. Additionally, the stand can also hold 24 Hand Sprayers . The new lightweight stand provides the stockists flexibility on how they wish to display the watering cans and hand sprayers.

The eye-catching and modern design is tall and compact at 1.7m x 1.35m (HxD) which allows for a lot of stock to be displayed at one time but does not take up a lot of space on the shop floor - a key feature for any merchandising unit.

Primary research conducted by Stewart Garden has shown that 52% of keen gardeners under 35 have a good idea what they are going to buy before going to a store, but ultimately they make the final decision in store, which stresses the importance of a solution such as this new Contemporary Water Can Stand.

Nigel Thompson, Sales Director, Stewart, said, "The Contemporary Water Can Stand does not only save space but draws customers to our product range. Our research shows that gardeners make the final decision on products based on what they see in store. Our display is not only practical for shop floors but eye catching to the customers."

Stewart Garden Water Cans some in three convenient sizes; 1.7, 4.5, and 8 litres with well designed roses help ease pouring.

In 2012, Stewart moved their production to a new factory in Banbury to allow for increased production. Two new rotational moulding machines have been installed to further increase output of their moulded plastic products. New production processes have been automated and incorporate the principles of clean manufacturing. The entire manufacturing area has been floored with sealed epoxy in order to produce a clean manufacturing site.

Stewart Garden is responsible for grow your own products, watering, pots, propagators and garden accessories and sundries. These are available in over 1,600 outlets across the UK and Eire including major DIY outlets such as Homebase and Wilkinson and garden centres across the UK such as Dobbies and Klondyke/Strikes, The Garden Centre Group and some 600 plus independent garden centres.
