PRESS RELEASE

APRIL 2014

Spring Feed Your Garden Birds With A Protein Rich Mix

With the breeding season now in full swing, many will be aware of the fact that wild garden birds need effective nourishment during this busy season. Garden birds start raising their young over springtime, and will require substantial energy from protein rich foods.

Backyard birds typically love to consume live foods and seed mixes stored in feeders hung in residential back gardens. As a result, bird lovers and gardeners may be interested in providing bird food over spring in order to attract wild birds to their gardens. However, as certain birds have certain seasonal dietary needs, they may not be entirely sure which bird feed is the most beneficial, nor the healthiest for the birds themselves.

In response to the demand for protein rich, high quality nutritional bird mixes amongst bird lovers, Garden Bird Supplies have brought out a Limited Edition seed mix for spring, called Ultiva® Spring Delight.

Ideal for spring feeding, Ultiva® Spring Delight is a highly palatable and nutritious blend of sunflower hearts, suet pellets (insect, apple, peanut and berry), dried mealworms (including giant mealworms), dari, millet and black rapeseed. The mix is available in 2kg, 4kg, 12.55kg and 25kg sizes.

Speaking on behalf of Garden Bird Supplies, Christine Bennett says "While typically there will be plenty of natural foods available at this time of year for parents to rear their chicks on, supplementary feeding will also be a necessity when it comes to feeding parents and small birds."

"Mixes need to be carefully formulated to provide sufficient nutrition and energy supplies for birds during this active season, and we feel we have achieved this balance with our latest Ultiva® Spring Delight bird food mix".

Dedicated to providing only the best nutritional bird food, the company's commitment to quality is best evidenced by their hand in helping found the Birdcare Standards Association. Subsequently, the company'sraison d'être is to create wholesome foods with birds' welfare in mind.

The new seed mix coincides with the release of Garden Bird Supplies' latest mid spring feeding guide, in which Garden Bird Supplies have reviewed the prices on a number of customer favourites in the guide, giving customers the best possible price. Customers can also save up to £70 off selected feeders, nest boxes and giftware throughout the feeding guide in the Spring Sale. For the first time ever, the guide also features Garden Bird Supplies' new poultry food and indoor and aviary bird food products, all reasonably priced and free delivery available on orders above £25.
