Help Team Jo Downs Make a Splash for Marie Curie
in the 2018 Padstow to Rock Charity Swim

Launceston based glass-designer Jo Downs and her team will be making a splash this summer at the Padstow to Rock Charity Swim, and you can help them raise funds for Marie Curie Cornwall! Having been regulars at the event for the past decade, last year Jo Downs Handmade Glass won the Corporate Swim Award, receiving the very trophy Jo designed and donated herself, and this year the team will be defending their title whilst raising funds for the company's favourite charity. Jo Downs customers who buy a £1 fundraiser ticket in the run up to the event are being entered into a prize draw to win one of three fabulous ocean inspired prizes - a Jo Downs wall mounted Mini Shoal of glass fish worth £260, a Reef Shoal worth £475 and a spectacular Ocean Shoal worth £725.
"The Padstow to Rock Swim is a great community get-together, and our favourite annual event" says Jo, "We'll be doing our best to keep hold of the Corporate Swim trophy on the day and giving it our all to raise much needed funds for Marie Curie Cornwall, a charity that is close to all our hearts."

The Padstow to Rock Charity Swim
All the money raised by participating swimmers will go directly to Marie Curie Cancer Care, so that they can continue to provide much needed support for terminally ill patients here in Cornwall. The Padstow to Rock Swim is one of only a handful of UK Open Water swims that anyone can enter. It provides highly-organised support and safety cover, allowing first-time open-water swimmers the chance to take on the challenge of outdoor swimming. Since 2007 the swim has raised over £150,000 for charity. Amount raised so far from the 2016 swim is over £71,000, and monies are still coming in.
The date for the 2018 event has been confirmed as Friday 27 July on the late afternoon tide.
Jo Downs Handmade Glass
One of the world's most prominent fused glass artists, British designer Jo Downs' handcrafted work is inspired by the coastal setting of Cornwall where she lives and works. Jo's range of beautiful glassware includes hangings, bowls and mirrors alongside her much sought after statement interior pieces such as wall panels and art frames.
Jo has also developed her studio to undertake large interior projects. Her innovative designs have earned her hundreds of private commissions, producing fused glass windows, mirrors, wall panels and other artworks for homes, hotels and corporate headquarters around the world.
