Following
the overwhelming success of The Whitewed Directory’s debut event last year,
they're excited to announce the launch of their second awards ceremony for
their approved suppliers. Due to take place on 7 February 2019, at the
DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon, attendees can expect the return of an exceptional
evening that showcases the inspirational, superior services that contribute to
their success.
With a unique Code of Practice and vetting
process that is essential to their gold-standard services, The Whitewed
Directory is perhaps known as the region’s go-to resource for wedding planners
and soon-to-be-newlyweds. Its founder, Natalie Lovett, has an eye for quality
and a unique, personal approach to her work. This has translated to The
Whitewed Directory through a roster that boasts 24 types of dedicated suppliers
who deliver newlyweds with remarkable services.
The impact of winning The Whitewed Directory
Awards has been positive for all of 2017’s winners, having helped to propel
them to new audiences and larger, more established clients. The nominations for
this year’s awards are for Business Person of the Year 2018, Most Inspiring
Business Person of the Year 2018 and Start-up Business of the Year 2018.
Business of the Year 2018 is an award that
recognises an outstanding individual or supplier that has provided a product or
service that is uniquely different and leading as compared to competitors and
peers.
"It has always been of the utmost
importance to do the best for my brides and grooms, and to have this recognised
and praised by industry professionals makes running my own business all the
more rewarding.” - 2017’s Business of the Year winner, Elizabeth Donovan
Photography.
The Start-up Business of the Year 2018 category
takes a look at the most innovative services or products that have also
experienced a strong turnover or growth in the last year. 2017’s winner was
Georgia Yates Weddings, a delightful wedding stationery supplier with a wealth
of designs.
“I was up against such strong competition so
even to be shortlisted was a big confidence boost and great recognition for me.
Winning has been such a boost to my confidence and has given my business a
great push too!” - Georgia Yates Weddings, Start-up Business of the Year 2017.
Finally, the Most Inspiring Business Person of
the Year 2018 category aims to recognise and celebrate an inspirational story
from one individual. This may be a person who goes above and beyond in their
work, has defied stereotypes or worked through hardship or difficult times.
"You worry what others think when you're a
survivor of child loss, but to have the recognition that we survived and that
people care was amazing. It has also brought a lot of recognition for Venues
Covered - it shows our dedication to our business, our clients and giving the
best customer service possible, even when the unthinkable happens.” - Venues
Covered, Most Inspiring Business Person of the Year 2017.
