The team behind the award-winning van dealer Anchor Vans have once again signed up to take part in the gruelling physical challenge, Tough Mudder, to raise much-needed funds for the Rosemary Appeal.

The super-strong crew of Anchor Vans staff members will be toughing it out at Henley on Sunday 6th May as they take on the full ten-mile course of 20+ obstacles which are designed to challenge the toughest of contenders. 

The team’s chosen charity, the Rosemary Appeal, is working to raise £4.5 million to provide essential facilities to the local community at the centre at the West Berkshire Community Hospital. Their goals include support for unwell patients needing day therapy, chemotherapy, renal dialysis and IV therapies. They also hope to purchase a CT scanner.

Simon Joyce, managing director of Anchor Vans, explained, “We’re very excited to be heading out to Tough Mudder again this year in support of a fantastic cause. I’m always proud of our amazing team who work hard to provide an exceptional van sales service to our customers, but this kind of challenge takes their commitment to a whole new level.”

The Tough Mudder London West promises a run that’s dripping in mud and crammed full of challenges that will require teams to work together to pass the finish line. The Anchor Vans contenders, Simon Joyce, Lucy Joyce, Carl Brookes, Antony Gray, Rob Gray, Craig Mayne, James Tunstall, Rob Smith, Seb Krysztofowicz and Hubert Krysztofowicz are in for a tough day and happily welcome donations from the public for their efforts. 

Last year, Anchor Vans raised money for Prostate Cancer UK when they collected over £3,000 to support people with prostate cancer and their families during such difficult times. Donations to this year’s cause can be made via their fundraising page.
