Kent teenagers invited to learn how to cook with the "original domestic goddess" Beverley Jarvis

Kent, United Kingdom, 5thApril 2018: Kent-basedBeverley Jarvisran a special ‘Cook-In' workshop from her beautiful countryside home in Ashford, Kent, yesterday (4thApril 2018) with six teenagers determined to learn how to cook more confidently and independently. On the menu: fruit smoothies, chicken fajitas and tomato, avocado and mango salsa. Aged between 12 and 17, the teens soon settled in to Beverley's demonstration and then confidently set to work recreating the recipes before enjoying their supper together.

 

The next Teens in the Kitchen ‘Cook-In' will be held at Beverley's home on May 11thfrom 6pm. Journalists are warmly invited to attend with a photographer to enjoy the demonstration, chat to the teenagers while they're cooking and then, of course, try some of the delicious food they create. Beverley Jarvis istheoriginal domestic goddess, having written more than twenty-three cookbooks over the past forty-five years for leading publishers such as Headline, Octopus, Penguin and BBC Books, including the UK's first microwave cookery book. Her next book will be Teens in the Kitchen, and the live Cook-In events are a wonderful opportunity to road-test the hundreds of recipes Beverley has created specifically with teens in mind.
