KWB LAUNCHES BUILDING CONSULTANCY DIVISION

TO EXPAND RANGE OF SERVICES

Birmingham independent commercial property agency KWB has launched a new Building Consultancy division and appointed an experienced building surveyor to run it.

Akim Kamangira becomes Head of KWB Building Consultancy Limited, a new company in the KWB Holdings group, to provide a wider range of building surveying and consultancy services to KWB’s clients.

Mr Kamangira has more than 22 years’ experience in building consultancy, specialising in project management, having previously been responsible for managing large national framework contracts.  A Chartered Surveyor, Mr Kamangira also holds an MBA from Aston Business School.  He started his building surveying career in his native Zimbabwe, moving permanently to the UK at the age of 30, where he had to re-qualify as a surveyor.

“Akim is one of the most tenacious and highly qualified building surveyors I have encountered,” says John Bryce, Director of KWB Holdings.  “With the formation of our new division, we get an excellent surveyor to lead our team of building surveyors and provide an even wider range of specialist services to our clients, while he, as do all the directors of our group businesses, gets the chance to build and run a business as part of a well-known, multi-disciplinary commercial property agency.

“Akim has already assisted our Property Management team on a number of instructions, and helped the Office Agency team with pre-acquisition due diligence projects.”

Mr Kamangira says: “It’s always been my dream to start my own business, and to remain in the Midlands while I do it.  This is a great opportunity for me to do this as part of an already a successful business, with a highly knowledgeable and experienced mentor in the shape of John Bryce.  I am looking forward to working closely with John and all my colleagues.”
