Elegance Captured In Time This Mother’s Day
Elegance Captured In Time This Mother’s Day

Back a winner this Mother’s Day with an elegant timepiece designed by a company with a passion for the lustrous lines and timeless beauty of a Thoroughbred. The Equine ladies’ watch from Sport of Kings is ultra-thin, feminine and a triumph of understated, contemporary design.

Like the Thoroughbred, the Equine watch is the embodiment of exquisite refinement that is deceptively strong. Meticulously made by hand, the Equine features a soft-bonded white strap in padded Italian leather that moulds to the wrist, complemented by a silver or fashionable rose gold case with matched battens and logo. The dial face is soft white, the movement is exceptionally reliable Japanese Miyota Quartz, and the watch is a sleek 7mm thick.

Sport of Kings is a British company that specialises in designing watches for patrons with a passion for horse racing and all things equestrian. The timepieces are in a realm of their own, finished to an exceptionally high standard and are a classic gift for anyone who enjoys spending time in the saddle, or simply appreciates the compelling magnificence of a splendid horse. At £99, the Equine watch is competitively priced, delivering a combination of superb construction and comfort that also represents excellent value for money.

Prior to its launch, Sport of King’s surveyed and listened to its customers to create the unique Equine design. Twitter followers were asked for feedback on the shape of the watch and the colour of its case. The majority favoured a slim, fresh, fashionable look with a white strap and an equally popular silver or rose gold case.

Dave Batt, Sport of Kings' director, said: “We wanted to add a ladies’ watch to our collection, and to make sure we were on track and gave women what they wanted, we asked them what they thought. By listening to them, we have a much better understanding of what women liked about the Equine, and we have great ideas for ladies’ watch designs in the future.

“For the ultimate test, we took the Equine out for a gallop, or rather to Royal Windsor Racecourse and Ascot, where the watch was enthusiastically embraced by a discerning clientele of racegoers and horse lovers. Additionally, we took the Equine to the Buckinghamshire County Show and the Country Living Christmas Fair where it demonstrated its noble lineage to a wide range of people.”
