PRESS RELEASE - for immediate release
February 2018

MIKE CHALLANS JOINS MARK LYNDON PAPER ENTERPRISES

Mark Lyndon Paper Enterprises UK has announced the appointment of Mike Challans as quality manager for the UK & Ireland.

The critical importance of quality of paper for recycling being shipped to China and Asia, has seen the company increase its number of quality inspectors operating in the UK and Ireland.

This growth has consequently created the need for a senior role to ensure the quality inspectorate team achieves optimum operational efficiency.

Mark Lyndon now has seven quality inspectors that will report directly to Mike. He will report to Mark Lyndon UK managing director Colin Clarke.

Additionally, this new role will also cover several business improvement measures including health and safety, ISO compliance and system innovation.

Colin Clarke said: "Mike's been in the recycling industry for nearly 20 years in various roles within UK paper mill groups. This in-depth knowledge of what ‘good quality' OCC and Mixed Paper should look like, will help drive our goal of being at the forefront of the industry in these testing times."

Mike Challans added: "I am really looking forward to being able to use my industry experience to help further develop Mark Lyndon's pivotal UK position in the procurement of high quality recovered fibre for the Lee & Man Chinese and Asian paper mills."

Prior to joining Mark Lyndon in the middle of January, Mike worked for Saica UK and was responsible for ensuring the quality of material entering the mill.
