On Saturday 27
January 2018, Grittleton House will be hosting its traditional and luxurious
Burns supper in celebration of the life and poetic works of Robert Burns.
Vanessa
Shipp, office manager at Grittleton House said: "We pull out all the stops
to ensure our Burns Night Supper is the perfect way to celebrate the life of
this iconic Scotsman as well as indulge a taste for fine Scottish dining and
poetry.”
Based in Wiltshire and set within the glorious,
grandiose surroundings of a 17th-century Manor House built in 1660, guests will
experience an evening of traditional Scottish music, cuisine and
hospitality.

with the expertise and nous required to host, stage and deliver the perfect
event for a Burns Night to remember spent with loved ones."
On arrival, guests will be served the Burns
Night themed cocktails and will enjoy a sumptuous traditional Scottish
four-course meal, consisting of:

Haggis neeps and tatties with a dram of

The main course
offers a choice of: Roast beef, roast potatoes, red cabbage & green beans
or Scottish poached salmon with a thyme butter sauce, roast potatoes, red
cabbage & green beans or Caramelised onion confit leek tart with a thyme
butter sauce, roast potatoes, red cabbage & green beans.

The event runs from 7:00pm - 12:30am. Tickets
are on sale now and available at a price of £50 per person. Guests will be
sharing tables unless booking in groups. Tables for groups of 12 are available
at a price of £550, and tables for groups of 10 are available at just
£475.
Guests will be treated to a true Scottish
experience and shall be entertained with the performance of traditional
Scottish bagpipe music from authentic Scottish Piper, Billy Bagpipes and
traditional Scottish dance from Cartwheel Ceilidh, one of the finest
professional ceilidh/barn dance bands in the UK.
The Burns supper evening will be interspersed
with traditional recitals, such as the ‘Selkirk Grace’ and ‘Address to the
Haggis’. There will also be celebratory toasts to the great man, known as the
‘Immortal Memory’, ‘Address to the Lassies’ and ‘The Reply from the Lassies’.
The evening’s celebrations will conclude with dancing to the Cartwheel Ceilidh.
