New brand of high-end fastening tools arrives in the UK and Ireland

High-end carpenters, cabinet makers and other artisan woodworkers are set to benefit from a new range of fastening tools which can fully complement their talents.

It's thanks to the official launch in the UK and Ireland of KMR - a German brand of nailers, staplers and powered screwdrivers which enjoys near-iconic status across mainland Europe.

Widely respected for offering premium quality products developed by craft professionals for craft professionals, KMR has a long and impressive pedigree.

The brand takes its name from the initials of its founder, Karl Matthias Reich, the son of a Black Forest craftsman, who began producing nails, wire goods and machines for wire processing in 1914.

In 1925, Reich went on to produce his first stationery carpentry machine which was sold under the brand name HOLZ-HER.

In the 1960s, Reich's company produced its first pneumatic stapler before expanding its range to include other powered handheld fastening tools.

Over the next half a century, this side of the business developed an unrivalled reputation for offering products second to none in areas such as build quality, reliability and overall fastening performance.

It was subsequently acquired in 2013 by the Behrens Group, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of fastening technology for wood and other materials, and became fully integrated into the group's operations in 2016.

For the first time ever, the KMR range will now be available from select retailers and distributors in the UK and Ireland.

The range includes pneumatic and gas powered nailers and staplers, mains and battery powered magazine fed screwdrivers, and a comprehensive selection of fasteners, consumables and accessories.

All products continue to be developed and manufactured in Germany and to the legendary levels of quality which have long been a cornerstone of the KMR brand. As a result, they meet or exceed all applicable EN Eurocode standards and are CE marked where relevant.

Commenting on the launch of KMR, Paul Shepherd, sales manager at the Behrens Group (UK and Ireland), said: "The launch of the KMR range into the UK and Irish markets is a genuinely exciting step not only for the Behrens Group, but for any individual or business looking for the ultimate in high-end fastening tools.

"We're confident these customers will soon discover exactly why KMR nail guns, staplers and screwdrivers are so widely revered on the content.

"Everything about them, from the materials and components they employ to the way in which they are manufactured, is carefully considered and controlled in order to make them the product of choice for the craft professional."
