Lotte Moore to launch 22nd book at Kingston Children's Lit Fest #Christmas

Good morning to you!
Prolific author, 81-year-old Lotte Moore, who lives in Chiswick, West London, will be launching her 22nd book on 2nd December - just in time for Christmas - at the Kingston Children's Literary Festival. If you'd like a press copy for review, or to interview Lotte about her incredible writing career (her first book was published when she was 70) please get in touch. She's an inspirational lady, full of passion for sharing her love of reading, writing and storytelling with the youngest generations. 'Lotte's War' (2016) reached number one around Remembrance Day last year and we're hoping she'll see similar success with this beautifully illustrated children's picture book (hand-drawn and painted illustrations by Philip Hood) that has already been 'road-tested' on six to eight year olds who "love" the idea of parents on scooters and their Mums and Dads joining in fun and games in the school classroom while the kids take the place of the teachers.
This is a perfect gift for Christmas or a stocking filler.
Let me know if you'd like to send someone along on 2nd December (Heal's, Kingston, Surrey, 10-11am) to cover the launch at the Children's Literary Festival!
We look forward to hearing from you.

School Scooter Fun

By Lotte Moore

You can race to school at super-fast speed, weave in and out of the slow-coaches and leave your parents running behind! But, what would happen if your parents decided they wanted to have some super-fast Scooter Fun too? Can you imagine your mum or dad zooming along the street with the other parents?

Prolific children's book writer, Lotte Moore, welcomes you into a vivid, colourful and comical world in which, just for one day, it's the parents, not the children, who get to have all the fun on the scooters and in the school!

About the Author

Lotte Moore is the best-selling author ofLotte's War, which reached number one in the charts after its release on Remembrance Day 2016. Lotte has written more than 25 published books but only started writing aged 70. Now aged 81, Lotte is looking forward to releasing her latest story book, School Scooter Fun, for children, inspired by the children (and sometimes the adults!) who zoom past her house in London every day heading to school.

Lotte dedicates her time, freely, every week, to read her stories to children in pre-schools and primary schools, and she's particularly busy around World Book Day (1stMarch). She has travelled throughout the United Kingdom and her World War Two presentation plus rationing table (showing the children how little food was allocated per person during the War) are hugely popular with children and teachers.

Lotte Moore's other illustrated children's stories includeThe Invisible Elephant,The Dinosaur Who Ate A PianoandThe Teaspoon Family. As a child, Lotte lived in Kent with her parents who enjoyed entertaining, political debate and literary discussion with the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Winston Churchill, H E Bates, W H Auden and Benjamin Britten. She was often lonely and turned to writing (stories, diary, poems and letters) to express her feelings of isolation. In her early teens, her commitment turned to ballet, point shoes replaced the pen. She was selected by the Royal Ballet School to dance in the Opera Ballet. When rejected for growing ‘too tall' Lotte turned to acting and intermittently to writing. She finally married aged 38 to her loyal husband Chris (who continues to support Lotte by typing out her hand-written stories). Lotte became immersed in her stepchildren and then her own two girls. When her daughters left home she describes "empty years" filled by illness and family problems, and she turned to writing once again.
