81.9% of men and nearly 60% of women watch porn -

a substantial increase since the 2015 YouGov Sex poll which showed that 41% of Britons occasionally watch pornography.

It also found a direct link between porn consumption and dissatisfaction with penis size.

Headline results showed:

(most consumption amongst 12 British regions)

THE PORN HYPOTHESIS

New Survey findings confirm that Porn Consumption Fuels the Desire for Penis Enlargement in the UK

A new poll conducted by International Andrology– a leading men’s health clinic, has examined the porn consumption habits of Brits and its impact on the desire for a bigger penis.

The survey found that

:

35% of men and 14% of women in Britain would like their penis (or their partner’s penis) to be bigger

There is a direct correlation between porn consumption and the desire for a bigger penis among British men and women

Previous studies have consistently shown that up to a massive 45% of men are dissatisfied with their penis size – that’s higher than the 40% of men who are dissatisfied with their height or weight

What is more, demand for penis enlargement treatments has skyrocketed. Whether it is pills and creams or surgery, more men than ever want to increase their manhood.

As doctors from International Andrology, a leading men’s health clinic, report, penis enlargement or penis size concerns are by far the number one issue that men enquire about.

What is Driving Penis Size Anxiety?

Mr. Amr Raheem, a doctor from International Andrology comments, “Wanting a larger penis does not seem to be an inherent male anxiety or desire but develops later in life - this makes most “biological” explanations inadequate. Most men have no measure of a normal sized penis since it is unlikely that a man will ever see another man’s genitalia in an erect state.”

The Porn Hypothesis

As the advertising and entertainment industries have long established, our aesthetic, artistic and body image preferences are not objective. They are mainly shaped by what we are exposed to, meaning that tastes are created.

Researchers from International Andrology hypothesised that since men are primarily exposed to other men’s genital images through porn, their perception of what is normal or desirable is shaped by male porn actors who are almost exclusively chosen based on their penis size, which sets unrealistic standards.

In order to test this hypothesis, International Andrology commissioned One Poll to conduct an online survey of 2000 men and women across the UK to examine the correlation between porn consumption and penis size dissatisfaction.

The Verdict - Porn Consumption Highly Correlates with the Desire for a Bigger Penis

When examining the porn consumption habits of the survey participants, the results provide a staggering picture, indicating that for both men and women, the amount of porn consumed directly correlates with the desire for a bigger penis!

Findings showed that 50% of men and 40% of women who watch porn daily would like to have a bigger penis or wished their partner’s was larger.

Of those that do not watch porn only 30% of men and 10% of women reported  concerns over  penis size.

The survey results show that penis size does matter for both men and women but preferences depend on how much pornography one consumes.

Mr. Amr – doctor at International Andrology explained, “It is not surprising that British men, who are consuming increasing amounts of pornography, are feeling anxious and more preoccupied with penis size than ever before.

“Our experience, with more than 2000 patient requests annually, shows that concern regarding a man’s penis size can impact every aspect of a man’s life and in many cases  lead to severe mental distress or sexual dysfunction.  It should be clear to men that they are able to talk with an experienced medical professional who can reassure them and if relevant, discuss with them treatment options which range from sexual counselling to surgery” Mr. Amr explained.
