BLANCO revisits Kitchen Design student one year after sponsorship

In 2016,BLANCOsponsored Bucks New University student, Anna Collins, to take part in the new Kitchen Design course. Now, BLANCO catches up with Anna to see how she is getting on with the course.

Anna Collins has been working alongside Tessa Collins, owner and designer at Right Price Kitchens in Essex. 

Anna says she is getting on really well and that as well as designing, she also takes part in a lot of written projects too. "You learn about artists and go out and research what you want to and find out about things that go into designing a kitchen whether it's worktops, units, sinks or flooring." 

"I'm really looking forward to the market module as it's practical. You may not use it straight away but you know it's all relevant to your practical job. I have two years left and I'm really looking forward to it." 

When Anna was asked what advice she would give the new student starting in 2017, she said "I would suggest just going in with an open mind, look in magazines and the internet, take inspiration from as many things as you can that possibly don't relate to kitchens because that will really help you with the design and research."
