The Whitewed Directory has announced the judging panel for its first ever awards for suppliers. 

The Whitewed Directory, which is recognised as the home to Wiltshire and Gloucestershire's best wedding planners and organisers, will stage the event on February 1, 2018 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon. Visit www.whitewed.directory/ww-awards to enter.

The judging panel is a real who's who of three highly respected industry professionals: Sara Tye, Nicky Alberry and Adam Flint. 

Sara Tye is an award winning, top 500 international PR, business and organisational development expert and serial entrepreneur. She is the founder and managing director of redheadPR, CEO of Etape Suisse and Swindon Triathlon Club chair.

Nicky Alberry holds a number of non-exec and trustee positions in various companies and charities in Swindon, including Business West & The Swindon Museum & Art Gallery Trust. She is a founding member of the Swindon Cares fundraising appeal, and is a Deputy Lieutenant in Wiltshire. 

Adam Flint is the General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon hotel. He holds an honours degree in Hotel and Catering Management, and has almost 20 years’ industry experience.

For Natalie Lovett, founder and Managing Director of the Whitewed Directory, the event will be a very special occasion. Natalie said: "I’m so excited about this news for all of our incredibly dedicated suppliers. What they deliver for newlyweds is exceptional, and I believe it’s the right time to recognise their passion and professionalism."

Nominations for The Whitewed Directory Awards are now open in the following categories: Business of the Year 2017, Most Inspiring Business Person of the Year 2017 and Start-up Business of the Year 2017.

Directory members can self-nominate. Non-members who wish to be involved in this historic occasion can still join.

The Whitewed Directory Business of the Year recognises the individual or supplier that has provided a service that stands out for its excellence and attention to detail. 

In the The Whitewed Directory Start-up Business of the Year category, judges will look for a start-up business with the most innovative service/product combined with strong turnover growth. 

Finally, in the The Whitewed Directory Most Inspiring Business Person of the Year category, the judges will be looking for an inspirational story from one individual who exceeded expectations.
