DRIVE DEVILBISS HEALTHCARE ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF RETAIL DIRECTOR

With the focus on strengthening industry expertise and knowledge in line with the company's stated aim to make a real contribution to improving quality of life for people living with health issues, Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare has announced the appointment of Grant Abrahams as Retail Director.

Grant is a well-known and respected name in healthcare circles. He and his father Derek established Betterlife in 2003, growing the business successfully until it was acquired by Lloyds Pharmacy in 2010. Grant subsequently assumed control of the Betterlife business within the Celesio Group, Lloyds parent company, eventually taking on a wider role within the retail organisation.

Under his leadership, the company experienced significant business growth in an extremely competitive climate, achieving market leading figures with continual sales increases year on year. Today's NHS faces real budget challenges to serve an aging population, and Grant brings to Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare the experience and skills to drive change in the evolving landscape of healthcare provision.

As Retail Director for Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare, Grant will utilise his wide ranging experience of the healthcare industry to enhance Drive's existing retail business, developing individual products and propositions representing differentiated and compelling solutions for customers.

Grant's new role provides him with a set of interesting career challenges in a senior role as Board Director. "My remit is to focus on driving strategic sales growth for Drive's mobility and daily living aids business, working closely with the existing management team to develop and implement a planned retail strategy, plotting the company's course for successful, responsible and sustainable growth in this sector," he stated.
