Ambitious Nottinghamshire Boxer Urges Support For July Fight

 

Derbyshire-based Boxer Seeks Fan's Support For EBF Debut Following Sponsorship Deal

 

Derbyshire-based boxer Cory Bowler spoke today about his upcoming debut EBF fight and urged his supporters to get behind him and support him in his July fight at the Pryzm venue in Nottingham, following a sponsorship deal which he hopes will see him hit the big time. His previous fight, at Rollerworld in Derby, saw him win by knockout and he hopes to repeat his performance in his impending fight. Speaking about the importance of support, he stated that support from the crowd was "like the third man in the ring... it can make all the difference during tough times".

 

Cruiserweight boxer, Bowler, 28, spoke today of the sponsorship deal he has just signed with DSR Tax Claims, a specialist tax expenses practice and leading tax claims company based in Nottingham. He said that the deal "means everything to me, it allows me the best nutrition and training to help me to train at my best" and he thanked DSR Tax Claims for their commitment to him. DSR Tax Claims founder David Redfern added that "Cory's commitment to boxing mirrors our own commitment to our clients and I am proud to sponsor a local sportsman who is aiming to be the best. We wish him the best of luck in his July match". The sponsorship deal runs until the end of 2018 and will see Cory display the DSR Tax Claims branding in his boxing shorts.

 

Bowler, who lives in Heanor in Derbyshire, has fought many Derby opponents during his boxing career and spoke of the importance of boxing to his life. Starting boxing aged 18, he has discovered that the sport brings stability to his life and has helped to keep him out of trouble and on the right path in life. As well as boxing, Cory has also helped to coach both children and adults and believes that boxing can instil positive values, such as discipline and determination in young and old alike

.

Cory Bowler takes on Joe Brailsford at Pryzm nightclub in Nottingham on Friday 28thJuly in his debut fight for EBF (European Boxing Federation).
