One Month to RawFfest - A festival by and for 14 to 25 year olds

In one month an explosion of performance, gigs, exhibitions and workshops hits Venue Cymru, Llandudno. This new youth arts festival takes place from 17 to 20 August 2017 for 14 to 25 year-olds.

Uniquely for a national arts festival, RawFfest GŵylGrai is programmed by young people. Tara Williams, Youth Representative RawFfest Steering Group says:

"The festival workshops are now available online for festival-goers to grab their spots and choose how they want to spend their time at the festival. Come for one day or come for the whole event. There is so much to explore on our website. With only one month to go, have a look and see how special RawFfest is."

Tickets include all the performances, events and workshops plus lunch and dinner. Workshop spaces can only be booked by festival ticket-holders. A Festival Weekend Pass is available for £50 athttps://venuecymru.co.uk/whats-on/FULL-WEEKEND-PASS/80724/booktickets.html. Day tickets are £20 and £10. The full workshop programme is online at http://www.rawffest.wales/programme

Ruth Garnault, Director, who has supported the team of young creatives to put the programme together, says,
"The 2016 event was fantastic and the young people learnt what worked and how they wanted to shape the 2017 event. This year we have live music, theatre shows, silent disco, twmpath, art installations, radio broadcasts, newsFfest, opinions and debate, film making, dance workshops, Narnia writing den, body art, blogging, opera, drama workshops, punk poetry, environmental art, storytelling, poetry slam, 4-D theatre, film screenings, and up-cycling fashion workshops."

"Some workshops have limited spaces, so book your ticket now and grab the workshop places you fancy, ‘first come first served'. We welcome you to this amazing festival," says Ruth. The programme and workshop descriptions have been launched on the website to help you make ticket buying (Day or Weekend) decisions.

The festival has received financial support from Arts Council of Wales and the Welsh Government.
