Howards now accredited Xero and QuickBooks advisor

Howards, a progressive firm of chartered certified accountants based in Stafford, is now an accredited advisor for Xero and ProAdvisor for QuickBooks, two of the most popular small business accounts packages. This means the company is now more qualified than ever to help firms get the most out of Cloud-based accounting.

There are currently 10 Xero-accredited members of staff at Howards and seven who have passed their QuickBooks core training, with many more looking to join the training programmes and others planning on taking advanced level training.

Says Clive Boult, manager at Howards: "Being accredited Xero and QuickBooks advisors enables us to cater to the needs of customers who use these smart pieces of software to manage their finances. At the same time, we are still fully geared up to work with clients using Sage and other packages and can help them to migrate to QuickBooks and Xero should they wish to."

Xero is now Britain's leading online accounting software and is designed specifically to help small businesses keep on top of their cash flow. QuickBooks is reckoned to be the top-rated app for online accounting and is particularly suited to small businesses and the self-employed. Being Cloud-based, both packages enable a business's finances to be managed from anywhere, whether sending or reconciling invoices or creating expense claims.

Both packages allow companies to send invoices online to their customers, to receive daily bank account and credit card updates, to track inventory, control stock, add items on to invoices and orders, and more. Backed by multiple layers of security and capable of integrating with many different apps, the systems enable users to see how their businesses are doing at a glance, often via their smartphones while they are on the go.

Howards recently announced record growth in its most successful year to date, putting its success down to building strong relationships with clients - whether international PLCs, established small to medium enterprises (SMEs) or start-up sole traders.
