At a peaceful and secure waterside location, Stafford psychotherapist and yoga teacher Sue Tupling is running a one-day workshop designed to help people develop a quality of awareness that will calm an over-active mind and help reduce anxiety.

The workshop, entitled Silencing the Chaos, takes place at Stafford Boat Club on Saturday, July 29 and is based on mindfulness teachings and classical yoga.

Sue aims to help attendees achieve more clarity, peace of mind and stillness, as well as compassion to overcome fear and negativity.

"Our modern lives have become frantic and worrisome and we have forgotten how to switch off," says Sue. "The techniques I teach have a basis in classical yoga and will help people live in a more embodied way, even when they are extremely busy."

Sue's approach is informed by the classical system of Satyananda yoga and is inspired by her own experience of how the power of yoga and meditation helped to transform her life.

Taking place at Stafford Boat Club on Saturday 29 July from 10:30am-4:00pm the workshop costs £35. Attendees will benefit from learning practices such as postures, breathing and meditation along with physical, mental and emotional relaxation.

The class is suitable for beginners but will also appeal to those more experienced in yoga.
