TV gardening expert to share tips at Bradford Garden Centre masterclass
Further to the recent announcement of her year- long partnership with Tong Garden Centre, Leeds based garden designer and TV presenter Katie Rushworth will share her gardening expertise during an exclusive two hour masterclass at the Tong Lane business later this month.
On Friday 23rdJune, Yorkshire's homegrown gardener and ITV's Love Your Garden presenter, Katie Rushworth will demonstrate how to use plants in different ways to create a garden with year-round interest, how to tackle challenges like plants for shade and attracting beneficial wildlife into the garden.
Tong Garden Centre's Marketing Manager, Jo Dales is looking forward to welcoming Katie back to Tong: "Katie's passionate about creating gardens that people can replicate at home and her natural warmth enthuses people to have a go and grow. This will be a lovely, more intimate and informative event with Katie, we're really looking forward to it"
Katie Rushworth's masterclass begins at 2.30pm. Tickets include free tea and cake on arrival and cost £12, or £20 to include a signed copy of Katie's book,Plants, beds and borders,and are available fromwww.tonggardencentre.co.ukor from the reception at Tong.
Katie recently revealed the show garden that she has created at Tong to inspire visitors and is full of features that can be easily replicated at home with the help of ‘how to' leaflets and Katie's online video guides.
Filming has begun on the seventh series of Love Your Garden, the programme that transforms the gardens of deserving people throughout the UK, which airs on ITV later this month.
Tong Garden Centre occupies a 14 acre site in Tong village. It is one of Yorkshire's biggest garden centres with 110,000 square feet of retail space and parking for up to 700 cars.
