It’s the last chance for transport and logistics businesses in the West Midlands to register their free place at Talent in Logistics 2017, a free conference and exhibition in Telford, Shropshire, which features seminars from expert speakers, and focused networking opportunities.

The event includes 18 free CPD sessions for managers and decision makers in the transport and logistics sector, plus the finals of the exciting International Forklift Operator and Instructor of the Year live competitions.  Taking place on 22nd June 2017 at RTITB Headquarters in Telford, Shropshire, it is a unique opportunity for transport companies in the West Midlands to attend a national event, right on their doorstep.

The final few tickets for this free to attend conference and exhibition can be booked here: tilconf.eventbrite.com

EXPERT SPEAKERS

Attendees at the Talent in Logistics Conference will be able to enjoy a relevant professional development opportunity with free seminars providing a wealth of useful information and plenty of top tips to take back to the business.

There is a line-up of expert speakers from well-known organisations within the logistics industry such as Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), Road Safety Charity; Brake, National Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters and the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).  All seminars are completely free to attend, and Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) (UK) has awarded this event 3 CPD hours.

FREE EXHIBITION

The Information Zone at the event will provide transport businesses with a chance to network locally with industry experts from across the UK, and discuss key issues such as training procurement and the apprenticeship levy.

ENJOY LIVE COMPETITIONS

Visitors to the Talent in Logistics Conference will also have chance to enjoy all the live action of the International Forklift Operator of the Year Grand Finals.  The contest will see 12 top forklift drivers from around the world completing various live action-packed challenges, designed to test their operating skills. At the same time, some of the country’s best forklift instructors will be battling it out in a bid to win the Lift Truck Instructor of the Year title.

AWARDS CELEBRATE EXCELLENCE

The Talent in Logistics Awards will follow the daytime conference and celebrate the unique skills and achievements of the people that are key to training, developing and inspiring the transport and logistics sector.  Over a gourmet three-course dinner at the Telford International Centre, special guest Tim Vine, stand-up comedian and star of BBC sitcom ‘Not Going Out’, will present the Awards.

As well as recognising the talent and achievements within the logistics and transport industry, the Awards will provide a chance for guests from the West Midlands to socialise and network with their peers, suppliers and potential customers from across the UK and Ireland.
