Jo Downs Unveils Stunning New Chandelier Designs at

Decorex International 2017

This year at London's Decorex International exhibition at Syon Park, British fused-glass designer Jo Downs will be unveiling brand new work at the cutting edge of contemporary glass design. Expanding her portfolio for the first time to the design and creation of spectacular bespoke chandeliers, Jo has selected the UK's premier interior design event for this exclusive launch.

Cut, crafted, fired and finished at her Cornwall studio, these uniquely beautiful works represent the next step in the complex field of fused-glass design, and are created using a brand new multi-stage firing technique which includes the use of fireproof paper moulding and brilliantly coloured enamel powders. This launch also marks the beginning of a new creative partnership between Jo Downs Handmade Glass and design company Northern Lights, who have been creating inspiring lighting solutions for the hospitality and retail sectors since 1987, and have worked with Jo to create integrated lighting for her new range of chandeliers.

Jo will also be exhibiting her wall-mounted installations and other well-known designs that have positioned her at the forefront of bespoke interior and architectural fine-art glass, winning her commissions from hotels, corporate headquarters, cruise liners and in private homes across the world.

Jo Downs Handmade Glass

One of the world's most prominent fused glass artists, British designer Jo Downs' handcrafted work is inspired by the coastal setting of Cornwall where she lives and works. Jo's range of beautiful glassware includes hangings, bowls and mirrors alongside her much sought after statement interior pieces such as wall panels and art frames.

Jo has also developed her studio to undertake large interior projects. Her innovative designs have earned her hundreds of private commissions, producing fused glass windows, mirrors, wall panels and other artworks for homes, hotels and corporate headquarters around the world.
