East Yorkshire poultry business strengthens the team with key farm appointments
Middleton on the Wolds poultry and game business, T. Soanes & Son has strengthened its farm team and created a new Growing Manager position to help drive the business forward.
Mark Ireland has been promoted from Site Manager to Growing Manager with responsibility for the 11 farms that supply T. Soanes & Son with over five million chickens a year.
The Site Manager's position has been filled by Keith Edeson, who joins the business from Faccenda, the second largest poultry processor in the UK and former Catching Manager, Phil Clayton, has been promoted to work with Keith as Assistant Site Manager.
The new Growing Manager role has been created to cover the partial retirement of Farms Manager, Richard Lindley and to take on additional tasks to drive forward the supply chain of both standard and free range chicken into the factory.
Commenting on the new team, T.Soanes & Son's General Manager, Nigel Upson said;

T.Soanes & Son is a family owned business which has been rearing and preparing chicken for 70 years. It rears over five million chickens per year on its Yorkshire Wolds farms and sells its poultry and game to butchers and independent retailers in Yorkshire and to wholesalers nationwide.
