#PolandbuildsUK. Construction boss to share her inside view

Monika Slowikowska, a highly successful Polish business women in London, will speak at the first-ever British-Polish Construction Forum about how she did things differently to build her successful company, Golden Houses Development Ltd.

#PolandbuildsUK — the forum’s eye-catching hashtag — captures perfectly the ideas to be shared on 31 March 2017 at NatWest bank’s venue (250 Bishopsgate, London, EC2M 4AA). Tickets are available online at: http://www.pblink.co.uk/construction2017/#about.

Travelling delegates who see Monika’s talk can expect to discover how she uses ethical, grass-root ideas to win contract after contract — setting herself apart from competitors.

“Fairness”, says Monika, “has been the foremost ethical consideration of my business. I value it so greatly on a personal level, that it has always lived with me in my business engagements too. It has established many principles my workforce want to follow, and their collective buy-in is critical to our success.”

Golden Houses Development Ltd was shortlisted for the 2016 House Builder of the Year by Construction News Awards and Federation of Master Builders Awards. Monika’s ambition is to exceed turnover by £80 million by 2020.

In her keynote speech, Monika will share how she interprets and implements the sustainable model of Value Addition.

The workforce of Golden Houses Development Ltd is entrusted to be self-sufficient; the team knows they drive the success of the business and its ability to meet their own career needs and personal expectations.

Alongside Monika’s analysis of her team’s spirit and can-do attitude, she will emphasise her own influence as a continuously self-critical, yet balanced and commercially aware leader. It’s those traits, Monika believes, that have made her a leading Polish contractor in construction today.

The British-Polish Construction Forum is organised by the Polish Business Link (BP Link) and is for architects, engineers, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers and importers of building materials.

The organisers recognise the sustained ambition of talented and innovative Poles who, in recent times, have created more new businesses in the UK than any other minority group — especially across the construction sector.

The British-Polish Construction Forum will shine a spotlight on the stories of other guest speakers too, each chosen to provide insight on the industry’s current position regarding orders, pricing, skills shortages and technological advances.
