GJS DILLON HELPS WORCESTER LAW FIRM EXPAND

Worcestershire commercial property consultancy and Chartered Surveyors GJS Dillon has helped one of the region’s leading law firms grow its presence in Worcester.

Waldrons Solicitors has doubled the size of its Worcester office in a deal brokered by Philip Jones, a Consultant at the Worcester office of GJS Dillon.  Acting on behalf of a private family trust, Mr Jones let 2,260 sq ft on three floors in Suites A & B, City Wells House, 26 Sidbury, Worcester, WR1 2HZ, to the regional law firm on a new 10 year lease.

Waldrons intends to carry out considerable alterations internally to the self-contained period building, close to the Cathedral, to enhance the headquarters office for its Worcester operations.

In addition to its Worcester office, Waldrons also has offices in Merry Hill, Dudley, Kingswinford, Walsall and Cheltenham, providing a full range of commercial, private client and compensation legal services.

Mr Jones said: “I am delighted that Waldrons has chosen not just to stay in Worcester city centre, but to increase its presence.  A continuing vibrant professional services sector is important for the future of the entire commercial property sector in the city.”

John Roberts, Managing Director of Waldrons said: "This expansion, which coincides with Waldrons’ 150th year of providing legal services, enables us to accommodate an increased number of solicitors and staff at our Worcester office, able to offer specialist advice on many areas of law including buying and selling residential and commercial property, wills, powers of attorney, family disputes and claims for medical negligence.

“We will also be able to offer specialist advocacy services in criminal matters, having secured a contract from the Legal aid Agency to deliver such services in Worcester. The premises also give us a prime position in the heart of the city and in an area that is presently undergoing substantial redevelopment.”

With offices in Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Worcester, GJS Dillon is a firm of Chartered Surveyors which offers a comprehensive commercial property service including commercial agency, commercial property management, valuations and building consultancy, as well as unrivalled geographical coverage, throughout Worcestershire and along the M5 and A38 corridors.
