Busy fleet managers are being offered a one stop shop solution to help them avoid falling foul of increasing legislation around diesel vehicle emissions.

In the past fleets have had to go through a two stage process to fix issues around the DPFs (Diesel Particle Filters) on their vehicles.

Now the company DPF Clean Team has pulled together a one stop shop to save fleet managers time and money. Instead of booking and having to rebook, DPF has negotiated a deal with 9,000 garages both franchise and independent where the work can be done in one place, on the spot and at a reduced rate. This will serve as an extra bonus to fleet managers as cities such as London and Birmingham are seeking to bring tougher regulation around diesel vehicles entering the city.

One stop shop for DPF cleaning to save time and money for fleet managers.

Busy fleet managers are being offered a one stop shop solution to help them avoid falling foul of increasing legislation around diesel vehicle emissions.

In the past fleets have had to go through a two stage process to fix issues around the DPFs (Diesel Particle Filters) on their vehicles.

When the DPF warning light comes on they would send their vehicles to a garage which would diagnose the problem and then they would have to rebook at another date to resolve the issue.

Now the company DPF Clean Team has pulled together a one stop shop to save fleet managers time and money. Instead of booking and having to rebook, DPF has negotiated a deal with 9,000 garages both franchise and independent where the work can be done in one place, on the spot and at a reduced rate.

Director at DPF Clean Team, Cameron Bryce said: "We understand how busy fleet managers are. Having a vehicle off the road is both time consuming and expensive. Because we work in partnership with thousands of garages across the UK, we can book fleets in and offer preferential rates because of our buying power.

"With the expected tightening of rules around diesel vehicles in the future it is important for fleet managers to keep on the right side of the law. We can take that headache away from them because they will no longer have to have one part of the job done in one place and another part of the job done in another."

Pressure on the use of diesel vehicles has begun to increase, with some cities across the UK and Europe suggesting they should be banned. Westminster Council is considering introducing higher parking charges for diesel vehicles.

Meanwhile, the Mayor Sadiq Khan has suggested the introduction of additional charges for the oldest and most polluting vehicles on top of the current congestion charge. He also wants to bring in an ultra-low emissions zone.

DPF Clean Team, based in Leicestershire, has been advising fleet owners of light commercial vehicles about the most cost efficient and time saving way to comply with legislation. The company has been in the motor parts reconditioning industry for more than 15 years.

Mr Bryce said he agreed air pollution needed to be tackled: "It is absolutely right that we all look at how we can tackle air pollution. Something has to be done and it is time now for us in the industry to think of ways of tackling the problem from an economic point of view for our customers and from an environmental point of view for ours and our children's future health."
