This new program starts with ScholarChip's ID Manager, which integrates with Weehawken's student information system and prints customized smart ID cards. Cards are issued to high school students and staff, who will tap in at a kiosk located at each entrance. These kiosks are used for building attendance as well as large group attendance activities like dances or sports events.

The ID Manager system is installed in each school; teachers and staff are assigned ScholarChip smart ID cards that allow them to access the school through secure doors. And when visitors and volunteers come to the schools, their drivers' licenses are scanned, the national database for sex offenders is searched, and if the person is approved, they are issued a nametag for entry to the school.
