ATLAS PACKAGING OFFER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN BARNSTAPLE
Devon-based Atlas Packaging remain committed to helping North Devon unemployment, having recently offered long-term unemployed Justin Freeman a full time position at their Barnstaple warehouse.
Phil Sweetland, Operations Manager at Atlas Packaging, met Justin through the Barnstaple Job Centre where he began a work experience initiative to those that have been long-term unemployed to re-join the workplace. Subsequently, Justin joined Atlas Packaging on work experience for up to 30 hours a week in the factory, gaining experience on the different processes and machinery.
Following the eight week placement, he made such outstanding progress, he was offered a full time position on 3rd January 2017. A month on, he has continued to demonstrate passion for the role as well continually develop his working practice.
Jason Sharman, Managing Director of Atlas Packaging has said, “We have been extremely impressed with Justin’s commitment to the role here at Atlas Packaging; his desire to learn and grow within the company is certainly impressive.
“We [Atlas Packaging], are always looking for new opportunities to help North Devon unemployment. Our warehouse expansion introduced four jobs and as we grow as a company, we’re always seeking ways to help those struggling to find work and provide opportunities within Atlas Packaging.”
